- To maintain the Site Files in accordance with company standards.
- To read, understand & to maintain the site in accordance with all H&S regulations & guidance.
- To familiarise yourself with Method Statements & Risk Assessments & ensure that they are adhered to closely. Also, to ensure that all 3rd party contractors provide copies of their own Method Statements and Risk Assessments & adhere to those.

- To maintain accurate service reports of FT & contract staff attending the site, including precise description of works completed.

What the Job Involves…
- Inspects building HVAC and plumbing systems to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.
- Reviews assigned work orders.
- Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair.
- Orders necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks.
- Reviews historical maintenance records to develop proactive inspection, testing and preventive maintenance schedule.
- Operation, maintenance, installation, replacement and repair of all boilers, heating pumps, valves, appurtenances and lines used in the distribution of steam and heated or processed water.

- Operation, maintenance, installation, replacement and repair of pumps handling brines or other secondary refrigerating liquids together with all valves, appurtenances and lines used in the system.
- Operation, maintenance, installation, replacement and repair of air compressors, together with distribution lines and all valves and devices for air control.
- Operation, maintenance, installation, replacement and repair of all natural and manufactured gas distribution lines, including all valves and devices for air control.
- Operation, maintenance, installation, replacement and repair of water filters, softeners, piping and pumps used in conjunction with water distribution, including all sinks and toilet bowls, including all supply lines, drains, water lines, control devices, and sprinkler systems.

The Role
- Responsible for Data Center Facility Management operations.
- Establish engineering and operation procedures and roll out for site staff.
- Observe and control of the laws and regulations, organize and manage the onsite electrical organization as an electrical specialist (GVEFK, Gesamt verantwortliche Elektro Fachkraft) with overall responsibility (qualification minimum Bachelor Professional/Master Professional Electrical).
- Ensure compliance with all local statutory regulations.
- Emergency call support and site attendance for trouble shooting.

The Role
- Ensure the completion of the maintenance activities to the highest quality level of planification, preparation, execution, and reporting.
- Ensure the full reliability of the infrastructures with the focus on continuity of services, energy efficiency and budgetary constraints.
- Use the BMS (Backup Management System) and all available systems and do regular walkthroughs to keep up to date at all time the appropriate monitoring on site
- Participate in the implementation of the site-specific crisis management plan and in the tests and implementation exercises concerning this plan.
- Monitor very closely the capacities of the infrastructure equipment at their different levels and their load of use / demand, and report back to the Site Manager.
- Anticipate the impact of the future development of customer loads on these infrastructures.
- Participate with the construction team to any site construction phase including the commissioning, and specifically to ensure service continuity to the customers.
- Actively contribute to all improvement actions in the site PUE.
- Proactively raise awareness of the need to increase the power level that is contractually agreed with the energy provider.
- Develop energy quality indicators as provided on behalf of infrastructures, by keeping appropriate records.
- Ensure highest standards of cleanliness by adapting the ad-hoc services.
- Beyond the context of the technical infrastructures of the Data Centre area, manage all services/suppliers concerned and the external appearance of the building.
- With the assistance of the IT and Controls departments, ensure the proper operation of the site’s BMS.
- Ensure that resources allow for the monitoring of infrastructures and their use at all times and as closely and as efficiently as possible.
- Support and monitor the maintenance service providers daily and keep up to date the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in accordance with VANTAGE’s requirements.
- Participate in regular audits which are designed to assess the level of service continuity and analyse risks.
- Implement improvement plans arising from the observations made during audits or in response to incidents arising in the infrastructures.
The Experience Profile
- Technical training (advanced technician or engineer level) in one of the following fields: electricity (electric generators, UPS, low-voltage distribution), air conditioning, fire and physical safety and security (access control, video and anti-intrusion systems) or centralized building management systems.
- At least 3 years’ experience in these types of functions, ideally in a similar environment to data center operations.
- Demonstrate knowledge in operating, maintaining, repairing, inspecting, and testing critical electrical distribution systems, HVAC systems and building management/automation equipment.
- Supervision of Level II, III and IV maintenance works on the site infrastructure.
- Good communication skills with third parties and internal customers.
- Ability to demonstrate a proactive approach and the capacity to generate new ideas.
- Highly motivated at problem-solving.
- Attention to detail and a genuine commitment to following up actions.
- Good writing skills.

The Role
- Provides full time onsite third party quality control oversight reporting directly to the client while interacting with the Construction Team on a daily basis.
- Actively supports the company’s commitment to safety and its core values.
- Performs quality inspections in accordance with program quality control documentation.
- Participate and guide project quality control from kick-off until hand-off.
- Provides oversight of the implementation of the QA/QC management system at site.
- Coordinates the quality inspections with the site sub-contractors and vendors.
- Coordinates with the customers representative on all quality matters.
- Provides oversight in the distribution of relevant QA/QC documentation to site subcontractors while reviewing that completed documentation is stored appropriately upon completion.
- Verifies that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the design documents and program standards.
- Participates in the internal and external site audits.
- Coordinates all the quality site inspections through the contractor QC team.
- Ensures all quality control documentation is compiled and competed for as-built hand over through the Contractor QC team.
- Provide review and reporting of all non-conformance reports and undertake remedial action.
- Monitors the implementation of the approved site QC Plan.
- Completes and coordinates the approval of the sites QC technical submittals to the customer.
- Coordinates with the client and contractor QA/QC team on all quality issues.
- Coordinate and chair the QA/QC site weekly meetings with the contractor QC personnel.
- Assures all technical documents relative to site quality control are of current status.
The Experience Profile
- Data center or mission-critical experience.
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline preferred (electrical or mechanical).
- Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, Quality Auditor, and/or Quality Engineer a plus Experience with ISO 9001 certification process.
- History and experience driving improved quality at scale.
- Ability to work seamlessly across functional and department lines.
- Experience with standard data center equipment to include: air handlers, water treatment equipment, BMS modules, and hot aisle containment accessories.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
