    What The Job Involves

    • Apply a wide application of engineering design and techniques to create, plan, and perform a variety of complex design, development, analysis, experimentation, test, and product assurance tasks.
    • Conduct specialised technical analyses, solves difficult technical problems and contributes to the development/enhancement of engineering models.
    • Develops programs to enhance, implement, and support assigned technical effort.
    • Conducts technical studies for complex engineering/scientific problems and provides advanced, specialised assistance to project leaders in a variety of tasks including development of product specifications, documents, and/or test procedures. 
    • Use communication skills & leadership abilities, participate in kaizen activities encouraging multi-functional groups to participate & meet common goals.

    We're Looking For Someone With

    • BS in Electrical Engineering or related degree.
    • Ideally 5+ years’ experience working with electronics/electrical design and/or product development.
    • Experience with hands-on troubleshooting using engineering methods and equipment.
    • Experience with High Voltage power distribution and control systems.
    • Experience using lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, network analysers, CANbus/serial communication analysers, data acquisition) for test and verification.
    • Experience with circuit board design and fabrication, schematic and layout familiarity 
    • System engineering and system architecture development.
    • Working knowledge of Cortex ARM processor architectures.
    • Experience with using Matlab/Simulink/LabVIEW/PSpice. 
    • Experience with using Altium or equivalent electronic design software.

      We're Looking For Someone With

      • Minimum of 1-3 years experience in a data center or other related mission-critical operations role.  
      • Experience working with various Microsoft Office applications and other database housing software  
      • Ability to handle a multitude of tasks and work well in stressful situations.  
      • Strong understanding of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment. These include, but are not limited to UPS, Transformers, PDU’s, RPP’s, Chillers, CRAH, CRAC, STS, ATS, and Pre-action systems.  
      • Strong knowledge of NFPA70e, NFPA72, NFPA25, and compliance issues as well as building codes in regard to fire life safety.  
      • Familiarity and experience in data center trending and analysis, with the ability to rapidly learn and use PC-based site monitoring systems.  
      • United States Navy Nuclear Engineering – preferred.   
      • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience – preferred.  
      • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle, reach or feel objects, climb stairs, balance, stoop or kneel, talk, see at close range, and hear for extended periods of time. 
      • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  
      • Must be willing to work outside normal business hours, including weekends, late nights, holidays, and on-call support.

      Datacenter People is recruiting for a company dedicated to prefabricated modular data centers, with an installed base of 600 units ranging from cable landing stations, repeater stations to disaster recovery sites, covering all-in-one prefabricated data centers, modular utility platforms composed of IT modules and facilities modules, tailor-made as well as co-developed solutions.

      What the Job Involves…

      • As an expert, you provide technical support to the sales, production and after-sales process.
      • You take care of the product management for Automation DCF, including market studies
      • You develop innovative concepts in prefab data centers.
      • You support the sales team in terms of sales argumentation, documentation and price calculations to achieve the targets.
      • You participate in sales meetings and give presentations, both in Belgium and abroad.
      • You study the customer's question or of a specifications and look for a tailor-made solution and convert it into a quotation (high level design).
      • You calculate the cost price and selling price of items and their commissioning.
      • You will work closely with our solution architects and our Chief Technical Officer to create quotations and guarantee the transfer of ordered projects to the solution architects.
      • You support the Chief Commercial Officer in formulating the objectives including the forecast and the budget and achieving them.

      We’re Looking for Someone Who…

      • In possession of a master's degree in Engineering (industrial engineer electricity / electronics / industrial design or construction) and you have affinity for product marketing and sales.
      • You have preferably a few years of relevant experience.
      • Passionate about data centers, an accreditation is a strong plus.
      • Always looking for improvements and new products for existing and new markets.
      • A team player who approaches problems with an open mind and a positive attitude.
      • A good communicator, fluent in English and preferably knowledge of DUTCH and/or FR, any other language is a plus.
