    The Client

    Datacenter People is working with one of the most reputed DCIM companies offering data center infrastructure management software, cable management system, infrastructure design and optimisation services worldwide.

    The Role

    • Responsible for managing the assigned sales territory. 
    • Close new business by building trusted customer relationships with data center Operators. Core goals will include revenue attainment, accurate qualification/discovery and customer consultation. 
    • Drive DCIM software license, maintenance, and service wins while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Respond to customer inquiries via phone & e-mail, assist potential customers during their evaluation process, create quotes & new customer accounts, co-ordinate with channel partners, & close sales.
    • Establish, develop & grow new business relationships with influential contacts within Key Accounts.
    • Keep the client's management informed by maintaining accurate customer and pipeline records within CRM system.
    • Submit accurate and timely activity reports as required.
    • Conduct product demonstrations via WebEx to potential customer’s audiences that are both technical and non-technical.
    • Provide management with information regarding local market opportunity and identifying new business opportunities and channel partnerships.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    The Experience Profile

    • Ability to understand an organisation’s business drivers, challenges, pain points
    • Ability to converse & consult with customers, providing educational value during the process.
    • A minimum 5 year proven track record of software sales and/or business process sales preferably within the information technology domain.
    • Ability to simplify and prioritise customer requirements and develop sales strategies that clearly define customer goals and metrics for success.
    • Excellent listening, written, verbal, and remote presentation skills.
    • Operational excellence in managing a pipeline of opportunities, revenue forecasting and conducting account/forecast reviews with management.
    • Knowledge of data centers, and the operational day-to-day management of them
    • Demonstrable record of sales success against quota.
    • Formal sales training (Challenger, Strategic, SPIN, etc.)
    • Experience with telemarketing, lead generation, or cold-calling.
    • Able to build meaningful business relationships with existing customers, prospects and internal colleagues.
    • Confident and able to differentiate yourself.
    • Passion for selling (IT industry background preferable).
    • Enthusiastic and self-starting approach.
    • Ability to use Microsoft Office/Exchange, and CRM systems.
    • BA/BS degree or technological certifications are preferred.

      What the Job Involves

      • Implement and follow the standardised culture of always working safely across all STACK data centers.  
      • Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems. Areas include Electrical, Mechanical, Building Monitoring, and Control.  
      • Tracking and trending operational characteristics.  
      • Provide feedback to management on the effectiveness of existing standards and processes  
      • Work with the Critical Operations Manager to complete an aggressive preventive and predictive maintenance schedule  
      • Assist with the database management of maintenance discrepancies and work with site management to resolve site issues based on agreed-upon priorities.  
      • Ensure data center operates at maximum operational efficiency, including analyzing existing operating conditions, recommending new technologies, and improving overall efficiency.  
      • Manage systems to avoid unplanned, customer-impacting outages  
      • Follow direction from data center management regarding the data floor and back of house mechanical loading capacity thereby ensuring that the cooling system is operating at its highest efficiency  
      • Coordinate and oversee power installations and upgrades  
      • Navigate and utilize a CMMS system.  
      • Use developed procedures to solve problems  
      • Assist in asset and consumable inventory management.  
      • Responsible for the tracking and proper labelling of all equipment per established procedures.  
      • Provide day-to-day exceptional customer service and support.  
      • Incident escalation, response, and follow-up report writing.
      • Maintain and complete regular facility and security tours documenting and responding to found issues.  
      • Provide applied mechanical and integrated control expertise for the entire data center

      We’re Looking for Someone With

      • High school diploma or equivalent.

      • Strong understanding of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment. These include, but are not limited to UPS, Transformers, PDU’s, RPP’s, Chillers, CRAH, CRAC, STS, ATS, and Pre-action systems.
      • Strong knowledge of NFPA70e, NFPA72, NFPA25, and compliance issues as well as building codes in regard to fire life safety.  
      • Familiarity and experience in data center trending and analysis, with the ability to rapidly learn and use PC-based site monitoring systems.  
      • United States Navy Nuclear Engineering – preferred.   
      • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience – preferred.

      • Implementing site-level efficiency projects and maintaining overall site design PUE.
      • Ensure STACK preventative and predictive maintenance program is executed.
      • Training and mentoring of junior staff.
      • Manage vendor relationships and service contracts.

      • Site budgeting and forecasting both CapEx and OpEx.
      • Create highly detailed technical procedures for maintenance events, emergency situations, standard site evolutions, etc.

      • Experience working with various Microsoft office applications and other database housing software.
      • 3-5 years' experience in administering and managing facility preventative maintenance programs.
      • 3-5 years' experience in vendor and project management.
      • Ability to handle a multitude of tasks and work well in stressful situations.
      • Expert understanding of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment.
