    Position Summary

     

    The Sales Director reports to the SVP of Data Centers and is primarily responsible for the development and performance of all sales activity for the client, related to Multitenant Data Center accounts and Integrator companies assigned as strategic. 

     

    The Sales Director will manage a team of Regional Sales Managers and work closely with both assigned accounts and regional overlays, contributing to the effective development, training and educational programs for Regional Sales Managers, and Sales Engineers. The Sales Director will set strategy and provide leadership around the priorities that specifically address the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. A key priority will be to delight our customers by managing expectations and striving to constantly improve the customers experience as they do business with the company.

     

    Responsibilities

     

    • Develop and implement plans and strategies in line with achieving the company’s sales goals.
    • Manage all specified sales teams, operations and resources to deliver profitable growth.
    • Manage incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets.
    • Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives.
    • Participate in the hiring, on-boarding and early development of sales staff
    • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting
    • Recommend and deploy infrastructure and systems to support the success of the sales function
    • Compile information and data related to customer and prospect interactions
    • Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions
    • Work closely with the marketing function to establish a successful channel and partner programs.
    • Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities.
    • Travel for in-person meetings with customers, partners and the CCS global team in order to develop and maintain key relationships.

      • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and market developments and identify opportunities for growth.
      • Attend trade shows and other events to promote our data center solutions and to establish and strengthen relationships with potential and existing ecosystem partners.
      • Perform other duties as assigned.

      We’re Looking for Someone Who…

      • Working knowledge of data center infrastructure, especially power, KVM, and cabinets.
      • Self-motivated and results driven.
      • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to work at all levels of an account.
      • A committed work ethic and ownership of results.
      • Strong organisational and planning skills.
      • Ability to travel up to 75%. Majority of travel is within UK & Ireland.
      • Computer proficient with knowledge of Microsoft Office products
      • (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint/Teams).
      • Experience with Salesforce.com preferred.
      • Passion for technology products.
      • Experience in channel sales.

      What the Job Involves…

      • Represent Company actively and cultivate high level relationships key engineering firms, contractors, and GCs to gain insight on critical opportunities. 
      • Provide large project sales leadership to maximise win rate including the following functions as required: specification CDE review/completion, competitive situation analysis, winning price point analysis, and developing/implementing overall sales strategy. 
      • Provide technical support for key client engagements including the following activities: assistance with development of concept power architectures, technical guidance for selection of best fit product ratings, battery selection and sizing, creation of concept single lines and virtual or in-person design reviews.  
      • Provide Busbar and Switchgear LoB business account management in partnership with dedicated account managers for select key accounts. 
      • Create general industry awareness through attendance and presenting at industry events 
      • Educate selling entities on application focused system architectures. 
      • Work with Sales Managers to provide sales insight and ensure proposals are align with our customer’s needs.
      • Represent the company and actively participate in key customer factory visits when appropriate.
