    The Role

    This regional role will be based in Hong Kong but will require travel to data centres in Asia- Pacific. The person will report to the Director (based in London), and will work closely with the Group Director, Asia-Pacific (based in Sydney) as well as the site Managing Directors and in particular the sales teams in the various locations in Asia-Pacific.

     

    Purpose of the Job

    The role will be primarily focused on developing, managing, and implementing strategies in order to deliver targeted marketing campaigns to increase lead generation across Asia-Pacific.

     

    General Tasks / Responsibilities

    • To support the Director in creating key messaging to promote the company, its brand, and offering to the markets identified above to generate sales leads.
    • Pro-actively advise and support marketing activities principally based on lead generation for the company in Asia-Pacific.
    • By using Salesforce as a tool to analyse and measure marketing success and return on investment from lead generation campaigns to determine and implement future sales strategies with the site teams.
    • Assist the Asia-Pacific sales teams with presentations and communications/reports with customers, managing translations, as required, into local languages, using suitable external suppliers to assist.
    • Oversee the adherence by the Asia Pacific teams of the corporate standards as laid down in the brand guidelines and various templates.
    • Complete market research to determine competition and opportunities for growth. 
    • Employ creative thought and implement digital marketing and print initiatives to ensure the company enjoys a sustained presence using both e-marketing and offline techniques.
    • Implementation of the site marketing plans to budget, standards and time-line. Ensure demonstrably streamlined commercial processes.
    • Work with Group Marketing to identify, manage and report local marketing budgets. Ensure cost efficiencies and negotiate best possible rates.
    • Providing and uploading content of any website copy to the backend CMS (Umbraco) ensuring any necessary translations are produced.
    • Work with creative agencies to generate website content, graphics, print collateral and promotional materials.
    • Assistance with a presence on other social media and relevant directory/database sites.
    • Assist Group Marketing with the launch and promotion of new or acquired data centres as well as extensions/upgrades of existing ones.
    • Assist Group Marketing with the company participation and sponsorship at industry events in Asia- Pacific, including liaising with suppliers in the design and implementation/production of any stands and promotional materials.

      We Are Looking For Someone With

      • Engineering degree preferred
      • Proficient in English
      • Experience working with power infrastructure products (preferably) in the mission critical markets and specifying engineering community
      • Experience selling to the mission critical markets, general/M&E contractors, specifying engineering community and end users.
      • Experience developing and executing strategic and tactical sales plans
      • Have existing network of China mission critical markets customers and potential representatives
      • Proven background in sales growth in the mission critical markets market
      • Ideally some sales management/leadership experience
      • Superior organizational, interpersonal, communication, negotiation, staff development and operations skills
      • Ability to present and interact with all levels of management
      • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
      • Highly self-motivated with the ability to motivate others
      • This position requires up travelling as and when required
      • This position is based in home office or can be in Beijing office

      What the Job Involves

      • Inside sales management:
      • Answering queries and create quotations for direct and indirect customers, channel partners, and assisting in selecting suitable products.
      • Management of internal sales team and data management.
      • Be the liaison between the LDCS product lines and Key Account Manager for commercial/resource queries.
      • Answering sales, product and technical questions.
      • Being in close daily contact with customer service and logistics on order status and expected delivery dates.
      • Checking for validity of product prices/discounts on incoming orders.
      • Continuously improving service level and customer satisfaction.
