    The Client


    Datacenter People is working with a global data center services provider delivering project management, engineering design and critical facility management to hyperscale, colocation, and edge leaders.

    What The Job Involves

    • Provide support in identifying and specifying project opportunities and in delivering contractual commitments on secured projects.
    • Ensure that opportunities for the strategic development of projects are utilised to deliver increased turnover and profitability.
    • To deliver projects to completion on time and on budget and to the satisfaction of all parties, expectations to be exceeded wherever possible.
    • Ensure the provision of healthy and safe working conditions and that both clients and Company health and safety policy and process is effectively implemented across both Salute Mission Critical and subcontractors activities, and are regularly review on each and every project. This will include the timely delivery of a Health and Safety file for the works and full compliance with CDM regulations.
    • Working with other operational managers to ensure the collaborative development of the projects business with effective team working and support of colleagues.
    • Development of project financial plans for revenue and profit delivery.
    • Ensure positive cash flow through the up front agreement of a relevant payment schedule and the submission of timely invoices/applications for payment.
    • Manage the delivery of projects within agreed budget requirements with the target to maximise profit through cost reductions and better buying of sub-contractor services.
    • Ensure appropriate control systems to ensure statutory, policy and contractual commitments are met.

    We're Looking For Someone With

    • Reporting to the Salute Mission Critical Technical Director.
    • Accountability to the Salute Mission Critical Business Leadership, as
    • appropriate.
    • Accountable day-to-day to the relevant client contacts. A good basic education is essential, with qualifications in business and or finance.
    • Higher educational qualifications to ‘A’ level/HNC/D or degree would be beneficial or equivalent.
    • Good PC based skills, with experience in Word/Excel and Outlook – intermediate to advance level, desirable skills in PowerPoint and Access Excellent verbal, written and communication skills. Excellent time management and organisational skills.
    • Reliable and committed.
    • Confidential and discrete approach.
    • Calm manner, able to work under pressure and with changing demands and priorities.
    • Be flexible to work outside core office hours from time to time.

      • Experience in Continuous Process Improvement and defining and managing associated metrics and KPIs. 
      • Experience in data centres or a similar mission critical environment is considered a significant advantage though not essential this will be a key consideration should multiple candidates be assessed for suitability. 
      • Experience of working in a European multi-cultural environment.
      • Highly proficient in spoken and written English (C1 or C2 level of CEFR).
      • Good German language skills (B2 level of CEFR).

      What the Job Involves…

      • Providing support to Project Teams throughout the project lifecycle.
      • Providing project level reports including detailed analysis of project cost and changes.
      • Maintaining and controlling budgets from design concept through to project completion.
      • Assisting with change management and control of total project costs (general contractors, direct suppliers, and professional appointments).
      • Analysing projects to ensure that project funding is adequate by performing estimates, cost forecasts, cost trends, and accrual of actual costs.
      • Developing cost estimates for civil, structural, architectural, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical disciplines.
      • Preparing material, labor, and equipment cost estimates for concept designs, design development documents, bid documents, and change orders.
      • Estimating and negotiating potential change orders.
      • Completing cost validation and quantity surveying on an as needed basis.
      • Monitoring and audit compliance.
      • Reconciling program and project controls data with the client’s fiscal and financial controls systems.
