    The Client

    Datacenter People is working with the largest global provider of cloud and carrier neutral data center, collocation and interconnection solutions.

    What The Job Involves

    • Ensures customer service levels are met promoting a service excellence and best practice culture.
    • Manages and supervises the execution of facility management activity (operation & maintenance).
    • Manages and supervises the execution of technical customer services (delivery & quality).
    • Ensures all critical site infrastructure is monitored, manages incidents on site according to incident process and oversees execution of corrective maintenance.
    • Maintains a disaster recovery plan for critical assets and requests supply of critical spare parts.
    • Ensures local Health & Safety regulations are met and aligned with corporate Health & Safety policies.
    • Responsible for the professional appearance of the site (e.g. cleanliness, friendliness of staff).
    • Co-ordinates on-site support as required in site specific requests (audits, projects, customer site visits, supplier activity).
    • Works with property, facility and asset management functions to support site specific reporting.
    • Works with Capacity Management to optimize Site PUE and space use. Supports up to date capacity reporting.
    • Works with Expansion to ensure commissioning, hand-over and acceptance for regular operations of newly built DCs or infrastructure projects. Technologies include electrical distribution systems, static and rotary UPS, emergency standby generation, fire alarm/suppression and monitoring systems.
    • Works with Finance to provide monthly commentary on site specific actuals reporting
    • Maintain an investment plan fed by audit results, risk register, capacity demand, asset lifecycle.
    • Implements corporate processes on site and monitors adherence and quality of deliverables.
    • Works and aligns with other departments and 3rd parties as far as their activity is site related (e.g. Service Transition / Service Delivery).
    • Acts as the central point of contact to co-ordinate site specific demand side requests with supply side teams.

    We're Looking For Someone With

    • Managing operational staff: defining work plans, outcomes, supervising quality execution.
    • Electrical and/or mechanical and infrastructure knowledge on high-available data centre or other industry architectures (Generators, UPS, HV/LV transformers, chillers, adiabatic systems).
    • Proficiency with building management, fire prevention, infrastructure and security systems.
    • Proficiency with incident management, asset management, monitoring & alarming systems.
    • Experience in high-available, fault tolerant business environments.
    • Experience in supplier management, Compliance and Auditing, Documentation.
    • Financial acumen: setting budgets, monitoring actuals, creating forecasts.
    • Strong relationship skills, ability to initiate and expand customer relationships as they relate to DC.
    • Concise and effective communication with teams and management.
    • Open mindset with aspiration to innovate the organisation.
    • Used to indirect and matrix leadership, familiar working across functional teams.
    • Ability to manage complex environments and drive conflicts to positive resolution.
    • Must be fluent in German and English.
