    What The Job Involves

    As Sales Engineer you act as the go-to person for the sales team of the assigned region as well as for the customers during the presales phase. You are a subject matter expert for the internal organisation and the customer. Moreover, you show commitment to resolving customer issues, thrive for best in class and assure that every customer touch point is a positive and effective experience. You are member of a team of technical and sales experts within the Center of Excellence for whitespace products.

    • Resolve issues and problems efficiently with a minimum impact to customers and react quickly to the customer demands
    • Provide technical presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet client needs and demonstrate a good understanding of customer value as well as the customer service attitude
    • Ensure that the sales teams receive a required level of technical training and assistance in performing demos, answering prospects/ customer questions
    • Provide end to end solution and design details to (end) customers and support partners / resellers
    • Survey market landscape for solution insights, direction, vendors, and methods and provide technical support for customer product evaluations
    • Identifiy market trends and new application areas for products by interacting with clients and provide professional services for product offering across UK and Ireland
    • Support the customer briefing centers and ensure that they have the current technology and all systems are running correctly
    • Work with marketing/ technical writers to ensure quality / correct marketing materials / internal and external client-oriented documentation for the product area
    • Support marketing by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events and present at trade conferences as well as provide input for / reviewing articles in trade publications (if needed and on request)

    We're Looking For Someone With

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science / electrical engineering or related field or equivalent experience
    • Experience of 7+ years in technical sales support of data center infrastructure components
    • Experience in prospecting and engaging new customers
    • Demonstrated knowledge of data center environments (including power)
    • Prior basic knowledge of the following data centre product categories is essential, at least one at prior expert level:
      • Rack Power (Rack PDUs, rack transfer switches, etc.)
      • Remote Access (Industrial KVM, serial console servers)
      • Cabinets and Containments
      • Structured Cabling
      • Cooling
    • Certified Datacenter Professional (CDCP) certification is a plus
    • Extented knowledge on Cabinets and Containments is a plus
    • Problem-solving, customer oriented, team player, pro-active and dynamic personality
