    The Client

    Datacenter People is representing one of the world's leading solution providers of energy efficient temperature and humidity management technology, specifically for data centre and other mission critical applications.

    What The Job Involves
    Establish new, and maintain existing relationships with customers.
    Research and identify potential markets and customers.
    Prepare a sales strategy and approach for your given sales area / customer base.
    Respond to and follow up sales enquiries and potential leads.
    Undertake site surveys and /or technical presentations.
    Pro-actively target, identify and make appointments with decision makers.
    Manage, understand and interpret customer requirements.
    Confidently communicate that a product or service will best satisfy customer needs.
    Calculate, prepare and present an accurate, professional quotation for the works.
    Understand and communicate the benefits of energy efficiency.
    Negotiate the project and close the sale.
    Administer customer accounts and maintain a CRM database.
    Liaise with other members of the sales team and other technical experts.
    Prepare reports for the Management Team as and when required.
    Monitor and report on sales activities to meet agreed targets.
    Support marketing activity by attending trade shows, conferences and other events.

    We're Looking For Someone With
    He or she will have a successful track record of achieving business growth and customer satisfaction in a building services, IT Infrastructure or related industrial products business.
    Experience with HVAC and/or Precision Cooling Products, will be a significant plus and an appreciation of the data-centre cooling marketplace would be a distinct advantage.
    A demonstrated ability to identify and exploit national account business opportunities with major corporate customers are desirable.
    The individual selected should possess excellent overall business skills, including excellent written and verbal communication, planning, presentation and organisational abilities.
    Financial and mathematical acumen is required
    An industry related degree or qualification would be an advantage but not a pre-requisite.
    The ability to foster an environment that encourages initiative, creativity and teamwork.
    The candidate must be a problem solver
    The candidate will be a strategic thinker who can demonstrate the capability to assume increased responsibility in the future.
    The individual will have personal qualities of honesty and integrity, and an interest in people development.
    A willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally in Europe is required. A current UK driving license is mandatory.

      We’re Looking for Someone With

      Datacenter People is working with a global data center services provider delivering project management, engineering design and critical facility management to hyperscale, colocation, and edge leaders.

      What The Job Involves 

      • Provide support in identifying and specifying project opportunities and in delivering contractual commitments on secured projects.
      • Ensure that opportunities for the strategic development of projects are utilised to deliver increased turnover and profitability.
      • To deliver projects to completion on time and on budget and to the satisfaction of all parties, expectations to be exceeded wherever possible.
      • To identify, reduce and manage all risks (technical, statutory, health and safety, commercial or otherwise) associated with each and every project.
      • Ensure compliance with project management policies and procedures.
      • Ensure the provision of healthy and safe working conditions and that both clients and company’s health and safety policy and process is effectively implemented across both company and sub-contractor activities and are regularly reviewed on each and every project. This will include the timely delivery of a Health and Safety file for the works and full compliance with CDM regulations (UK or local Country equivalent)
      • To build strong relationships with sub-contractors, in particular preferred suppliers, to ensure cost effective solutions which meets our quality expectations can be delivered to our clients whilst managing the risk and ensuring back-to-back terms and conditions.
      • Working with other operational managers to ensure the collaborative development of the projects business with effective team working and support of colleagues.
      • Development of project financial plans for revenue and profit.
      • Ensure positive cash flow through the up front agreement of a relevant payment schedule and the submission of timely invoices/applications for payment.

      We’re Looking for Someone With

      • Higher educational qualifications to ‘A’ level/HNC/D or degree
      • Technical education in an Electrical or Mechanical discipline or equivalent
      • Working knowledge of generators, coolers and UPS systems would be desirable
      • Good PC based skills, with experience in Word/Excel and Outlook – intermediate to advance level, desirable skills in PowerPoint and MS Project
      • Experience with commissioning and startup of data center mechanical systems.

      What The Job Involves 

      • Ensure our Data Centres are running smoothly and efficiently at all times.  
      • Carry out technical maintenance, repairs, and installations whilst providing support to our customers to meet SLAs.  
      • Involved with the day-to-day surveillance of buildings and equipment, liaising with contractors and acting as the first point of contact for the escalations of alarms. 

      We’re Looking for Someone With

      • Proven engineering experience in air conditioning, UPS, generators, and LV systems  
      • Experience working as a technician in an electrical or industrial environment  
      • Strong technical fault-finding skills. 
      • A thorough, accurate approach to completing tasks  
      • Good communication skills in English, including report writing.  
      • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.  
      • A can-do attitude, with the drive to take on new responsibilities.   

      Experience with commissioning and startup of data center mechanical systems.
