    The Client


    Datacenter People is working with a global, leading data center colocation provider.


    The Role

    • Provide oversight and review of project plans, equipment and system submittals.
    • Coordinate heavily with internal engineering team across all disciplines to ensure products delivered to Operations is streamlined and optimised to meet the needs of the business across all functions.
    • Conduct value engineering analyses, and provide system recommendations.
    • Attend project design team meetings and ensure product constructed meets engineering standards and specifications.
    • Work closely with Operations to find a balance between cost-effective solutions & operational sustainability
    • Project coordination and commissioning support.
    • Develop and/or set minimum requirements for complete sequence of operations for all designed systems.
    • Help set standards for mechanical commissioning efforts and ensure compliance on each project.


    The Experience Profile

    • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, from an accredited university or college.
    • Data center experience is required.
    • Proficient in design tools such as AutoCAD, Excel, Word and Sigma6 modelling software.
    • Knowledge of critical cooling infrastructure.
    • Knowledge of building codes and ordinances.
    • Knowledge of air side and water side systems and components.

      • Experience with the design and deployment of technical electrical and mechanical systems (electrical or mechanical background. 
      • Experience in Continuous Process Improvement and defining and managing associated metrics and KPIs. 
      • Experience in data centres or a similar mission critical environment is considered a significant advantage though not essential this will be a key consideration should multiple candidates be assessed for suitability. 
      • Experience of working in a European multi-cultural environment.
      • Highly proficient in spoken and written English (C1 or C2 level of CEFR).
      • Good German language skills (B2 level of CEFR).

      What the Job Involves

      • In collaboration with the sales team, help with costing on the entire LDCS portfolio: server rack, containment and security, electrical distribution, cabling, etc.
      • Presentation of products in the LDCS Showroom or on the customer site (France).
      • Supporting clients in the execution phase.
      • Creation of mission orders.
      • Supervision of the intervention of installation service providers.
      • Drafting of the restitution report at the end of the project.
      • Follow-up of any reservations at the signing of the minutes.
      • Configuration of client equipment.
      • Customer training of products sold and installed.

      We’re Looking for Someone Who

      • Has an engineering background.
      • Have the ability to work autonomously, organised and monitored.
      • Ease with computer tools.
      • Very good interpersonal skills
      • Speak English fluently.
      • Hold a B driving license.
