    What The Job Involves

    Reporting to the Director, Design & Strategy, the Manager, Mechanical Engineering will be responsible for the Company’s mechanical design and engineering activities. Delivering the programme of newbuild and extension projects in relation to the technology assets, setting and performing to high standards of engineering best practice as well as providing third line mechanical engineering support will be pivotal to the role.

    • Post graduate qualification in a related engineering discipline

    • Proven strong stakeholder management including: reporting, project management, risk identification and escalation

      What The Job Involves

      We're Looking For Someone With

      • Experience in a site based management role within the construction industry, overseeing a portfolio of concurrent capex projects. 
      • Extensive experience in the planning and delivery of large capex projects, varying delivery methods (Management Contracting, Traditional, D&B) and forms of contract (ie. FIDIC, JCT). 
      • Demonstrate Data Center construction experience.
      • Proficient in the use of project and commercial management tools and processes 
      • Have experience in presenting to senior leadership both internally and within our Clients Teams.  
      • Have experience in managing and developing direct and vendor teams.
      • Excellent project management experience and skillset, with the ability to operate within a multi-cultural environment. 
      • Good knowledge of HOAI/RIBA/VOB/CAD/BIM. 
      • Business fluent in German and English language.

      What The Job Involves

      • Single point of contact and accountable for delivery of assigned projects from stage 2 design to handover to Operations, with support from the various AtlasEdge discipline teams.
      • Managing and coordinating all internal and external interfacing teams to relating to the given project(s) to maintain H&S, budget, programme and quality standards.
      • Programme and risk management with the supply chain and internal AtlasEdge team(s), with support from the D&C planner and project controls lead.
      • Management and verification/remediation of supply chain reporting and document control. 
      • Reporting and escalations to AtlasEdge direct reports.
      • Supporting the development of the design to ensure build-ability and commission-ability as well as value engineering. Plus, ensuring full AtlasEdge team alignment throughout the design stage releases and approvals.
      • Support the planning and permitting requirements along with design, real state and legal teams.

      • Robust experience (3-5yrs) and proven delivery in Data Center project delivery.
      • Experience of delivering commercial engineering projects to a high standard, to budget and within timescale.

      What The Job Involves

      • Provide support in identifying and specifying project opportunities and in delivering contractual commitments on secured projects.
      • Ensure that opportunities for the strategic development of projects are utilised to deliver increased turnover and profitability.
      • To deliver projects to completion on time and on budget and to the satisfaction of all parties, expectations to be exceeded wherever possible.
      • Ensure the provision of healthy and safe working conditions and that both clients and Company health and safety policy and process is effectively implemented across both Salute Mission Critical and subcontractors activities, and are regularly review on each and every project. This will include the timely delivery of a Health and Safety file for the works and full compliance with CDM regulations.
      • Working with other operational managers to ensure the collaborative development of the projects business with effective team working and support of colleagues.
      • Development of project financial plans for revenue and profit delivery.
      • Ensure positive cash flow through the up front agreement of a relevant payment schedule and the submission of timely invoices/applications for payment.
      • Manage the delivery of projects within agreed budget requirements with the target to maximise profit through cost reductions and better buying of sub-contractor services.
      • Ensure appropriate control systems to ensure statutory, policy and contractual commitments are met.

      We're Looking For Someone With

      • Reporting to the Salute Mission Critical Technical Director.
      • Accountability to the Salute Mission Critical Business Leadership, as
      • appropriate.
      • Accountable day-to-day to the relevant client contacts. A good basic education is essential, with qualifications in business and or finance.
      • Higher educational qualifications to ‘A’ level/HNC/D or degree would be beneficial or equivalent.
      • Good PC based skills, with experience in Word/Excel and Outlook – intermediate to advance level, desirable skills in PowerPoint and Access Excellent verbal, written and communication skills. Excellent time management and organisational skills.
