    The Client

    Datacenter People is working with an infrastructure platform operating over 100 edge data center facilities across Europe.

    What The Job Involves

    The purpose of this role is to provide in house expertise and experience to:

    • Take ownership of the overall Design and Construction budget to ensure spending on a project-by-project basis is in line with approved budgets.
    • Produce calculated project budgets at each design stage
    • Develop and maintain a commercial database across the different regions  
    • Represent and align with internal finance team on all relevant reporting requirements to support real time commercial reporting on a project-by-project basis
    • Lead the overall ‘project controls’ function to ensure the costs and schedules on every project are aligned in the end-to-end delivery of projects
    • Implementation of a common Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to ensure consistency of commercial returns from suppliers and establish an internal commercial database of costs.
    • By using the above, partake in tender assessments and contract negotiations to ensure the company is receiving value for money at the current market rates
    • Analyse and verify contractor progress reports and update internal reports (via the Project Management Tool) to increase real time visibility to project progress.
    • Own the project risk analysis and identify potential mitigation as well as assign potential costs (incl. time based) to each risk to help form project contingency profiles
    • Analyse Contractor delay claims against project baselines to ensure a fair and reasonable assessment is undertaken.
    • Support Mergers & Acquisitions in the Technical Due Diligence process by assessing costs associated with any upgrades or expansions assumed in the business case
    • Help support cross-functional coordination by incorporating partner teams timelines into overall project schedules to align effort across the internal organization
    • Produce annual budgets for management team and shareholder approval to ensure budgets provide 
    • Oversee third party consultants supporting your job function as the company expands to maintain the requirements as set out above

    We Are Looking For Someone With

    • 5-10 years’ experience in Data Centre industry preferred.
    • Familiarity with standard Project Management software including Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
    • Understanding of Work Breakdown Structure and project coding structures.
    • Understanding of cost management process and procedures for project delivery
    • Experience in internal reporting 
    • Capable of analysing cost variances against established budgets and overtime
