    The Role:

    Working with a team of highly qualified Technicians, the role offers huge development potential for any candidate wanting to work on the leading edge of the growing data centre industry.

    No prior Data centre experience is required as full training is provided.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Operation and maintenance of all critical facility systems, areas include: Electrical, Mechanical, Building and Control.
    • Monitor the EPMS, BMS, Fire Systems Alarms and respond in a timely manner.
    • Operate, monitor, maintain and respond to abnormal conditions in critical facility systems.
    • Perform preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance on state of the art medium & low voltage, high availability power systems.
    • Ensure all subcontractors are inducted & permitted to work.
    • Ensure that documents library and workshop are clean & tidy always.
    • Provide input into and develop site specific procedures including EOPs, SOPs and MOPS.

    The Experienced Profile:

    • A fully verifiable trade qualification in a relevant engineering discipline & verifiable additional training that is relevant to the proposed environment.
    • Understanding of LV power distribution and loading.
    • A strong understanding and experience of the electrical & mechanical systems used in a data centre environment, including: Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Fuel Systems, Switchgear, UPS Systems, Battery Banks, ATS / STS Units, Chillers, Air Handling Units, CRAC Units, Fire Alarm Systems and Fire Suppression Systems.
    • Experience of complex automatic control equipment, including relay logic, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), building management systems and their integration with the data centre infrastructure.
    • Experience of low & medium voltage distribution systems & associated switch gear and protection equipment is preferred.
    • Availability to work shift and to provide emergency cover as required

      • Work with Sales Managers to provide sales insight and ensure proposals are align with our customer’s needs.
      • Represent the company and actively participate in key customer factory visits when appropriate.
      • Provide industry feedback to product managers for product improvements and roadmaps 
      • Provide guidance and insight to product management and executive teams on shifting market dynamics and customer needs.  
      • Participate in account planning efforts and engagement strategies for key clients.  
      • Prepare and give technical presentations for industry events to establish thought leadership.
      • Maintain database to track influence in key engineering and GC accounts.

      We’re Looking for Someone With

      • Bachelor’s in engineering, business or related degree desired.
      • Technical knowledge of Busbar and Switchgear products and applications.
      • Deep market dynamics and industry knowledge. 
      • Experience working on large, complex RFQs. 
      • Experience working with Sales Offices.  
      • Excellent Sales credibility and self-confidence to deal with frequent, stressful customer relationship issues.
      • Sales Presentation skills – in person and virtual.
      • Large Group Presentation skills – in person and virtual.
      • At least five years of industry sales experience.

      • Emergency Standby within the region.

      We’re Looking for Someone With

      • Successfully completed vocational training as an electrician in the field of electrical engineering (m/f/d) or industrial engineering (m/f/d).  
      • Practical and technical experience in handling battery systems and their function 
      • Ability to make contact and work in a team.

      What the Job Involves

      • Assist with managing the implementation and ongoing running of the LDCS partner ecosystem program including the deployment of all key tools and processes.
      • Execute regular Business Reviews, to include sales and marketing plans with select partners to ensure mutual commitment and accountability for agreed performance & demand generation activities.
      • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate partner needs on an ongoing basis.
      • Manage potential channel conflict with other sales channels by fostering excellent communication internally and externally, and through strict adherence to channel rules of engagement.
      • Proactively develop strategies to enable partners to offer multi-category LDCS solutions.
      • Drive knowledge acquisition within the partner ecosystem through the Data Center Academy accreditation program.
      • Collaborate with internal teams such as channel development, marketing, product and technical support to provide resources and support to partners.
      • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the ecosystem & proactively engage local & regional LDCS / subsidiary management where appropriate.
      • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and market developments and identify opportunities for growth.
      • Attend trade shows and other events to promote our data center solutions and to establish and strengthen relationships with potential and existing ecosystem partners.
