The Client
Datacenter People is working with a global data center services provider delivering project management, engineering design and critical facility management to hyperscale, colocation, and edge leaders.
What the Job Involves
- Develop detailed technical drawings and plans for electrical busbar systems using computer-aided design (CAD) and other Autodesk suite applications as required.
- Apply quality control measures to ensure that busbar documentation meets project specifications and company standards.
- Work closely with electrical engineers and project managers to understand project document requirements.
- Incorporate feedback and revisions into busbar designs as necessary and keep updated.
- Participate in project meetings to discuss design details and modifications.
- Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and standards related to electrical busbar systems.
- Apply knowledge of electrical principles and regulations to ensure the reliability and efficiency of busbar designs.
- Coordinate with customer teams to obtain necessary approvals for busbar designs.
- Review and check busbar drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to specifications.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues in the busbar design process.
- Maintain organised records of all busbar drawings and related documentation within document control systems and ensure their availability to site teams.
- Create and update drawing logs and archives for easy reference.
- Effectively communicate design ideas and concepts to the engineering team.
- Collaborate with different departments to ensure seamless integration of busbar systems within overall electrical designs.
We’re Looking for Someone Who
- A degree or diploma in electrical engineering, drafting, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems and construction processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in systems design.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to BIM preferred.
- Proficiency in industry standard software, such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
- Previous experience as a draughtsperson or designer in the electrical engineering field, particularly with busbar systems. Attention to detail and exceptional organisation and follow up skills
- Ability to interface effectively with customer and internal groups at all levels
- Strong problem solving and decision making abilities.
- Ability to work independently while still maintaining strong ties throughout organisation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to travel throughout Europe (up to 25%).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

We’re Looking for Someone With
- 1 year of experience working in a Network Operation Center, Contact Center or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience providing customer service or technical support or equivalent.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to engage with colleagues and customers and diffuse difficult situations.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise job requirements.
- Discipline and commitment to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and able to work on issues independently with limited supervision.
- Effective organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Basis skills with Microsoft Operating Systems, Office Suite and Visio.
- CCNA or equivalent certification preferred.

Data Center Manager

The ClientDatacenter People is partnering with a leading German data center operator that delivers colocation services across a highly secure network of facilities at central points in Europe.
What The Job Involves
- Responsible for the operation, maintenance and adjustment of all building and utility systems and equipment, including but not limited to: Uninterruptible power supply systems (MVMD, LVMD, UPS, EPS); Cooling supply systems Air conditioning and ventilation systems; Security systems: Fire protection, access control systems, intrusion detection systems, video surveillance systems, acoustic systems; Electrical and air conditioning measurement systems; Building control technology and monitoring/management systems; Electrical and network cabling systems
- Checks changes/updates to the technical documentation for systems and equipment (in cooperation with the supplier, design department, supervisory authority, customer) and ensures that the systems are up to date.
- Trouble shooting and management of incidents via a ticket system according to SLA and OLA specifications.
- Personnel responsibility for internal employees, technical management of external employees and organisation of the service partner for service + maintenance.
- Project responsibility for the renewal of the infrastructure.
- Preparation of the annual budget.
We’re Looking for Someone With- Experience e.g. as a senior engineer, technician or foreman in the operation of data centers or in the process-oriented industrial/production sector.
- Experience in managing engineering consultants and contractors.
- Experience and knowledge of legal, state and local building and safety codes

- Experience with HyperScalers / Cloud DCs Customers.
- In-depth knowledge of energy management and conservation, predictive and preventive maintenance, code compliance, federal regulations and applicable building and construction codes.

- Experience in leading, defining and delivering technical solutions for facilities management.
