The Client
Datacenter People is working with the leading provider of reliable, sustainable and highly connected edge data centers in Europe, with locations in Germany, France, The Netherlands, Belgium and Denmark.

What The Job Involves

• Accountable for the sign-off and execution of all construction, MEP & FF&E delivery and installation agreements and the delivery of the diverse projects according to plan.
• Responsible for having a balanced construction portfolio with a proper risk spread on the type of construction agreements in the different countries.
• Together with the CDO, Head of Engineering and the Development Managers, you’re responsible for selecting engineering partners and construction management teams.
• Support the project development teams to structure during the (pre-)construction phase and able to step in during this process in order to stay on ‘time’, ‘cost’ and ‘production quality’.
• Deploying creative, resourceful and impactful solutions to the challenges Penta Infra faces during the construction phase.
• Gatekeeper and accountable for the production quality and key indicators of Penta Infra Development, like tender strategy, cost management and delivery time schedule. When needed, initiate value engineering sessions with project teams.
• Define and execute together with the CDO, Head of Engineering and Procurement Manager strategies for international partnerships with advisors, product suppliers and contractors for our projects.

• Specialised in leading teams in the realisation and turnkey delivery of datacenter projects according to plan (within budget, on time and according to the required technical specifications).
• A real team player who can properly delegate and let team members learn and shine.
• A fast thinker with a strong ‘get things done’ mentality.
• Knowledgeable on all technical aspects of datacenter development, like foundation, substructure, shell & core, redundant MEP installations including back-up UPS and DGR systems, fire detection and suppression systems, security concepts and systems, building management systems, telecommunications networks, fitout and FF&E works.
• Knowledge of datacenter design standards such as Uptime Tier III, EN50600 / ISO22237 and TÜV TSI Standard level 3.
• Knowledge on sustainable datacenter development
• Flexible, motivated, sociable and highly organised.
• Very experienced in development, engineering and construction contracts.
• Sharp and keen on risk management in all project phases. Analytically strong, always thinking in different scenario’s.
• A clear communicator and motivator.
• A strong and comfortable negotiator, who maintains a good relationship with stakeholders
• Fun-loving team builder.
• Legally permitted to work and live in the Netherlands.
• Happy to travel (around two days a week).
• Fluent in English.
